About China Medical University

China Medical University (CMU) was established in the year 1958.Initially it was named as China Medical College, in the year 2003 it was again renamed as China Medical University. It is the first university in the province of Taiwan which offers Chinese Medicine & Pharmacy programs. Over a period of time it has grown as a one of the most prestigious medical university in Taiwan. This university has two campuses one is in Taichung (including Wuchuan & Ankang) and another is in Belgang.

The University is located at the heart of the city Taichung. CMU has 7 colleges Chinese medicine, Pharmacy (which include Chinese herbs),Life Sciences, Management, Western medicine, Public health educational, Research & Practice programs are offered.The University has two hospital which is best in class in china & its highly qualified professors are very committed.

Location

CMU located in Shenyang city of Liaoning is the largest and most populous city of China. It is one of the oldest cities and also the birthplace of Qing Dynasty. Shenyang is also known as Fengtian, Manchu or Mukden. The city has ten district, two countries and 1 country level city.

The city is also famous for its historical sites and Industries. Some of the major attractions of the city are Xinglong Indoor Park & Glacier zoological paradise, International Ice and Snow Festival, Botanical Garden, Mukden Palace, Zhaoling Tomb, Fuling Mausoleum and Historical Museum etc.

Climate

The climate of Shenyang is very cold as it is situated just above the sea level. Summers are generally very long and wet throughout the yaer. While Winters are freezy, dry and short. The average temperature is 8.6 degree Celsius. The summer season experiences heavy rain as compared to the winter. July is the warmest month of the year with a temperature of about 25.1 degree centigrade. Again January is the coldest month of the year with a lowest temperature of -10.8 degree centigrade.

Intake

MBBS in China has specially 1 Intake in a year. Admissions generally start from the month of April. But pre booking starts in advance due to the limited number of seats. Universities of China has very limited number of seats for International students. Most of the seats are filled by the students apart from India. Universities in China accept applications from brilliant student only with good percentage and English. Each University has set their own percentage criteria and NEET score for the students.

Classes start from the month of September onwards. So Students start departing from the first week of September.

Scholarship

China Medical University offers scholarship to International students based on the percentage of marks acquired by the student in intermediate. Almost all the Universities in China provide scholarship. Each University has set up its own benchmark for providing Scholarship to International students. Scholarship amount ranges from Rs.50, 000 to 5 lacs.

It completely depends upon the student's performance and his attendance. Any student who is doing well in her studies is eligible for Scholarship.

Hostel

China Medical University hostel is located within the campus only. The University has two separate hostels for both boys and girls and they are provided with all facilities inside the hostel. Canteen and super markets are both available within the university campus. Students don’t have to go out for buying any necessity items. Hostel is very safe for girls as it is provided with full safety and security. Students are not allowed to enter the hostel without a biometric entry. It is compulsory for all the students. Also if any outsider wants to meet the students they have to take special permission, then only they are allowed to enter inside the hostel is also known as China Standard Time. The time clock of China is 2 hrs fast as compared to India.

Documents Required for MBBS Admission in China Medical University

  • 10th, 12th Mark sheet.
  • NEET score card.
  • 1 passport size photograp.
  • Passport.
  • Physical Fitness certificate.
  • Gap certificate (in case there is any gap in the academic year).
  • 6 months bank statement (minimum balance should be around the fees of 1st year).
  • Character certificate.
  • Migration & Transfer Certificate.

Eligibility

  • An applicant must be Non-Chinese National and must possess a valid passport with a valid Chinese visa for study in China.
  • Applicants must present their HSK marks cards depicting their proficiency in Chinese language. However, relaxation can be given to students applying for programs taught in the English Language.
  • Applicants must abide by the rules & regulations of the University as well as the Chinese government.
  • Undergraduate program applicants of not more than 25 years and must submit high school mark sheets.
  • Master’s degree applicants of not more than 35 years, a bachelor degree holder and must submit 2 recommendation letters from professors.
  • A Doctoral program applicant must be a Master degree holder and not above 45 years of age. Submission of 2 recommendation letters from professors is a mandatory requirement.

Expertise and relevant team of professionals verify and selects the students who are granted pre-admission letters by the mid of June. By the end of June, these must apply for University Scholarship online. Once the applications are scrutinized, the students are awarded the scholarship in the month of September each year. The provincial department where the university is located takes the responsibility of all applications. Each university in the province receives funds and aids from the Provincial Department of Education according to the number of students who have been awarded the scholarship. If the student does not abide by the rules & regulations of the university or the government, the university has the authority to report to the provincial department of education and his/her scholarship is deemed to be terminated with immediate effect. The university or college must submit a comprehensive report of students’ assessment to the provincial department that will help them determine the student’s eligibility for scholarship in the coming year. This report must be submitted in writing by the end of May.
