  • FEFU now has approximately 2 million volumes dating from the 16th to the 21st centuries in Russian, German, English, French, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Czech, Spanish, and many other languages.
  • Thousands of international journals have full-text online access through 71 national and international e-databases. FEFU was one of the first in Russia to deploy the Virtual automated library system.

Far Eastern Medical University Medical Centre

  • FEFU Medical Centre is a specialized medical facility with 200 hospitalized patients. About 200 doctors work at the FEFU MC, some of whom were asked to work from other parts of Russia and from abroad.
  • FEFU MC integrates 14 medical departments that specialize in neurology and neurosurgery, orthopaedics, women's health, otorhinolaryngology, urology, general surgery, internal medicine, rehabilitation, and intervenous therapy for both Russian and international patients. Each unit offers a variety of lodging alternatives, including double rooms, pleasant single rooms, and VIP accommodations. FEFU MC includes a rehabilitation centre with a hotel capacity of 100 rooms.
  • The Operation Unit features nine cutting-edge operating rooms, one of which is equipped with a unique DA VINCI surgery robot that can be controlled remotely by doctors. Open cardiac surgery, X-ray-controlled vascular, cardio, and neuro manipulations, orthopaedic surgery and neurosurgical procedures, and emergency shock treatment are all available in the Operation Unit's specialist operating rooms.
  • Diagnosis Centre, Laboratory Diagnosis Centre, and Radiology Centre use Positron-Emission Tomography (PET/CT) and a 3 Tesla MRI scanner to diagnose patients.
  • Biomedical testing is an integral aspect of FEFU MC's operational operations. The FEFU Medical Centre and the FEFU School of Biomedicine have a close collaboration. These two large universities collaborate to develop and test innovative medical treatment and diagnostic technologies, as well as to educate future medical specialists.

Assessment System

  • The university assesses the quality of the knowledge received through a constant monitoring and evaluation procedure. During their studies, students are given a paper copy of their findings and evaluation; nevertheless, this document does not substitute the actual graduation certificate.
  • If a student fails an exam, his or her school provides him or her with another opportunity to improve their work in order to pass the subject. Students can, however, be ejected from university for academic failure if they fail the subject many times. Furthermore, students who get scholarships may risk losing their awards if they do not receive adequate grades as a result of their poor performance.
  • Because FEFU has a rating system, a professor can give you a "excellent" grade without giving you an exam if you study hard and attend classes, seminars, and workshops.
